"Enter the Ninja" is a short documentary that follows the journey of Clint Patterson, a determined Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, as he relentlessly trains to defeat his formidable opponent in an upcoming cage match fight set in the vibrant backdrop of New York City.
Fueled by a burning desire to succeed, Clint immerses himself in an intense training regimen, pushing his physical and mental limits to the edge. He trains tirelessly, honing his skills in various martial arts disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and wrestling. He undergoes grueling workouts, mastering new techniques and strategies, all while conditioning his body for the ultimate battle.
This story is a riveting tale of perseverance, sacrifice, and the pursuit of greatness. It explores the relentless pursuit of a dream, the challenges faced along the way, and the triumph that comes from pushing oneself beyond limits in the quest for victory.
As a cinematographer-editor with a background in combat sports, this project's creation came naturally. I understood what I was capturing and how it made up the greater story. The overall pacing, style, and sound design was a lot of fun to put together and I hope to tell more stories like Clint's in the future.
